Prof. Moshe Haviv will be on board to Institute for Data and Decision Analytics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen as a full professor in September 2020. Before that, he was a professor at Department of Statistics and The Federmann Center for the Study of Rationality, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Prof. Moshe Haviv received his B.S. degree in Mathematics(magna cum laude) from Tel Aviv University in Israel in 1979, then his M.A. in Administrative Sciences from Yale University in U.S.A in 1982,and his Ph.D. in Operations Research/Management Science from Yale University in 1983. Prof. Moshe Haviv was the head of the department of statistics, Hebrew University, Jerusalem from 2008 to 2012, the President of the Israeli Society of Operations Research from 2012 to 2014 as well as the Director, The Board of Directors of the Pension Fund of the Employees of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His current research interests lie in Operations research, queueing models, decision making and strategic behavior in queues, Markov decision processes, large Markov chains.
